Many days I've thought about what I'd write on here and so many days have gone by and I've posted nothing. Then I couldn't even remember how to get on this site ! Oh technology ! But now I'm here.
Now that I am, I'm speechless - or is it touchless, since I have my fingers on a keyboard.
It has been 3 months and certainly the weather has changed, from winter to spring, today being a lovely spring day, warm in the direct sun but still cool in the shade with a little wind.
The wind blew some pages off the music stands at our market performance. Quick retrieval and then the addition of clothes pegs to secure it for the next number. The sun brings people to the market and I think the patrons appreciated our upbeat selections, from marches to jazzy numbers.
And now I'm procrastinating because the project which is calling me is taxes ! It's that time of year when all other projects and hobbies must be put aside to meet the deadline. I start by telling myself in November that it's time to gather information in order to be ready when January rolls around. But here it is, halfway through April with the end of the month looming.
I'd rather be knitting or sleeping or snorkeling on Maui ! And that's not going to happen !

Weathering the storm
Foul weather today, again. Rain has washed away most of the snow from my driveway, making it possible and passable. All other roads clear but extremely wet with water puddling in low spots.
Power outages in some areas caused a ripple effect by shutting down some municipal water systems.
Fallen trees temporarily closed access to the Malahat from Victoria midday.
Weather was probably responsible for the lower than hoped for audience at our concert, however, those who were in attendance claim to have enjoyed it very much. We finished earlier than usual which meant that people were able to get home before dark. A large contingent of the choir members proceeded to the White Spot and enjoyed good food and good company and still were able to get home for an early evening.
It is, after all, the middle of winter !

Musings - this was my first post - but it didn't post !!!
How did I get myself into creating a blog? Encouragement from a family member who had just done the same thing. What am I going to write about ? Many things come to mind, from the snow in the driveway which had me "trapped" for several days, to the fact that I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time sitting at this keyboard and screen for the sake of both entertainment and research.
One thing leads to another and each link that piques my curiosity takes me into another area of interest and sometimes another part of the world. Armchair travel.
